William Bryce Thompson IV, founder of Thompson Land, is self-made and fearless. He started buying older homes to renovate and resell in 1956. He bought his first farm (130 acres in Princeton Township) in 1959.
Since then, Bryce has grown his real estate investment business, Thompson Land, into one of the largest in New Jersey. Over the course of his career, he has bought and sold more than 15,000 acres domestically and internationally. 195 Nassau Street in Princeton has been headquarters for his businesses for more than 50 years.
This original Victorian house, built in 1885 by his grandfather, John J. Golden, has been home to four generations and frequented by six generations of family. Known as the “land man”, Bryce has sold more than 2,900 acres for permanent preservation.
